Overview

Dakhini is a large island that appeared in the Square Bight just south of Hindia at dusk on 6 Snow 809WK, having travelled through the mists of time to escape a terrible cataclysm. It was flown by a skeleton crew who had been forced to eat most of the rest of the sailors, led by a boy who wanted to be a god, a foul demon, and a madwoman. Surprisingly, the landing was relatively neat.

The island is full of rampaging half-man half-beast abominations, who have invented such depravities as trigonometry, epic sagas, and the back-scratcher, and whose foul heathen gods appear as well-mannered young elves. You know you can't trust anyone on the island, because some of them have tails.
