Armourer/Weaponsmith

Good that you're fleshing this out Greg. Much as I am reluctant to even peek into the receptacle of writhing snakes that is weapon and armour pricing, are the 'book charges' referenced the retail price listed on the weapon/armour tables, or the cost (~80% of retail) given in the weaponsmith/armourer skills?

If on the retail, does this reflect a premium for having the items 'in stock'? I think a guideline time to wait for custom items would be useful. 3 to 6 months perhaps?

Thanks for that Errol, I had in mind the price was on the cost of construction rather than the retail.

So the apprentices are a bit cheaper than an ordinary shop but the other three more expensive due to the constraints of time and convenience. Some sort of discount for working yourself (as an apprentice/labourer of sorts) may be applicable?

The wait time is highly dependent on the rank of work requested as some (most) items that I have been requested to supply must be worked on by the master armourer. I am still having a play with the times at present.

I've noted a number of changes between this and the Player Guide, is that document likely to be updated then?

The latest version we have in London is ver 2.21 (Nov 2001), however the one linked in the wiki is Ver 2.0 (March 2000): http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/New_Character

Also are 20 point Guild healing potions no longer available? The 10 point fragile/sturdy is different, from err... 8 years ago.
