Chapter 1 – Meeting the Parents

We meet in guild room three by a very well-dressed Lunar empire man who greats me in Fluent Giant. We are informed that a Vineyard has gone missing. Now not missing the terms of the ground has up been removed not that I would be surprised in Alusia if that had happened. More in the terms of the people in charge of the Vineyard have stopped reporting back and the messenger they sent to investigate hasn’t returned. We learn that our employer is one Lucius Sulis, Uncle of Minerva Sulis, Guild member. Minerva was going to accompany us to Tycho where her parents villa is before returning to the guild for training.

After our briefing we did introductions and our guild required paperwork. The party consists of:
Serpah – Namer and fighter
Angus – Namer and fighter
Malga – Rune and Warrior
Vixen – Fire and Mage/fighter. Also designated party leader
Grimmuck – Fire and Mage
Rhian – Ice and Mage/Fighter. Also, Party’s Primary Military Scientist.
Uthgard – Warrior. Party’s Scribe and Secondary Military Scientist

With this we went and got ready to go on adventure, getting lessers from Basalic very kindly done as Rhian was his child. With all other prep done we settled down to meet Minerva at the portal to Tycho in the morning.

In the morning we did some short prep in spells before traveling through the portal losing all our Fatigue. A carriage is waiting for us the other side to take us to Sulis Villa where we are treated to Breakfast, a rest and late lunch. After Lunch we were treated with new Clothes to make us identifiable as associates or hired mercenaries of the Sulis house and bathes before dinner with Prima Lydia and Primus Julius, Minerva’s parents.

They are loaning us a Mage to get up to where the Vineyards are. Onesimus is a Water Monger about to be made a freeman if he does well with aiding us. Along with this we are given greater’s (Rk 10) from another one of their mages and a potion each which gives us Fluency in Giant and Lunar (Rk 6) till the end of the season with retainment of very basic understanding afterwards (Rk 0).

Chapter 2 – The Warehouse Job

We finish off dinner with the parents and head to bed. In the morning we rise at dawn where breakfast is brought. We are then taken by carriage to the docks where we are introduced to Victoria Sulis, Captain of the Sulis Concordia. I make the party assist in help finishing loading the cargo onto the ship before we set sail to Genoro.

Upon arrival in Genoro a man approaches the boat while the ship is unloading. This man introduces himself as Titus Sulis Quintus, Minerva’s Cousin, who asks us for a favour seeing as we are going to be passing through here anyway. He agrees to pay us 10 gold (120sp) each to stop some thieves breaking into his warehouse. We agree as it seemed easy enough. After dinner we made our way down to the warehouse where we talked to the guards where we learnt that the guards would fall asleep and be kicked away at about dawn. With this our DAer’s went to work and attained that they had been hit with an E&E Sleep spell.

So we made a plan and lied in wait for the thieves. Just after midnight stuff started to kick off.

After a hard fight the city guard turned up and arrested the remaining bandits. We headed back to the Villa after claiming our earned loot. In the morning we made our way over to the jail and had a nice chat with one of the bandits who was nicely compliant. We learned that they worked for a guy called Fabrisio or Fab who was the E&E from the previous nights fight, in a group called the Muttly Mob who have hit several warehouses. So we gained the location of their hideout and handed it over to local authority.

Chapter 3 - Travel Up River

We waited round for 2 days while getting Malga's arm healed, during which we got Onesimus to create us some waters of healing and resupplied. This included getting 4 sets of Brigandine for party members wearing Leather. Once this was all done we headed up river on a barge owned by House Sulis. We stayed the night at a Loche and continued up river camping the second night along one side of the river with the other barges during the middle of the night those of us on watch with the ability to see in the dark noticed small humanoid figures clambering up onto the neighbours Sulis barge. So like the adventurers we are or claim to be we woke everyone up and dealt with what we worked out were goblins trying to steal the cargo of the barge by pulling the barge across the 50ft wide river.

We traveled another 5 days up river before making the Sulis Olive Grove, Villa Sulis Arboreus Olivarium. Staying the night to have actual beds, we were woke in the middle of the night as some of the olive trees caught fire lucky with 3 of our part having Extinguish Flames the fire didn't cause to much damage. We discovered a fused grenade strapped to one of the trees at the center of the fire and 24 hour old goblin tracks. With nothing much more to go on and a job still to do at the Vineyards we continued our travel up river. 2 days on we got to the last town before the Vineyard, Nomus, where Rhian brought some Herbalist stuff. The next day on we made Eel lake where we were close enough to crystal of vision the Vineyard. Looking through the crystal everything was quiet. We couldn't see movement in the Vineyards. Day 11 of river travel up Black Eel River we spotted some cows on the edge to the bank but something wasnt quite right. They didnt move quite right. So our DAers told us what they were. Plague Zombie Cows. After a very brief discussion of fighting them here and now instead of going back to town for stuff so there would be no "COWLATERAL DAMAGE"

We fought the cows at range from the end of the barge making sure the barge stayed equal distance away from them as we could. This turned out to be a good thing as when the cows died they exploded into a plague cloud. Asking what we could we worked out the plague only effected warm blooded animals and sentients.

Chapter 4 - The Vineyard

We camped the night a few miles down river from the Vineyard and made our way up in the morning. The store houses near the dock where empty. From here we could see a large Villa so that's where we headed. About 500ft out we spotted 2 humanoid figures dressed in Lunar Guard uniform who were not moving. Readying our selves for a fight we headed forward and went toe to toe with the Plague Zombie Guards. Which exploded over our front line fighter's upon death. Inside the gate we encountered 2 Plague horses and 2 Plagued Carriage Guards which we took down, again getting covered in Virus clouds. Through out the rest of the house we found dead bodies with they're throat slit in the dinning room. The kitchen, Bakery, pantry and milking shed were all empty. Onisums informs us that he is looking for someone specific. Out in the Barn there are some more Plague Zombie cows that we dealt to.

In the office we find a writing slate which upon it written in Lunar is:

 "To Whom It May Concern
   The disease has taken many of us. 
   Our healer is missing.
   We are taking refuge in the cellar.
   I hope you come soon.
   We have resources but I fear they may not last
   Signed Appiurs Sulis Vitus"

Onisums tells us that the cellar are caves in the mountains where they store the wine. We discuss the possible outcomes her that either they have managed to lock themselves away safely and are all okay or they have all turned due to one reason or another and is a waiting death trap for their rescuer's which just so happens to be us. So preparing for the worst we put on our buffs spells 10 minutes out of the cellar. Cresting the hill we saw a flock of 20 sheep their Shepherds and the sheep dogs which had all been turned and where stood between us and the potential survivors.

Taking most the fight from range with a front line wall between the undead and the range. Getting through that we meet the survivors in the cave, who were much friendlier when we let them know that Prima and Primus Sulius had personally sent us. Talking to them we learnt that the cause of the virus was some vampire bats some distance North West of the cellar. We had their Weather mage ask. Working out that all we had to go in with was grenado's and one person who could actually throw them. We fire proofed the party and did the rest of our appropriate buffs, crystal of vision to find the cave and get it out of shear luck and then head out.

Chapter 5 - The Bat Cave
Coming to the entrance we fought a couple of swarms of bats and found our way over to a room with 2 dire bats 2 zombie halflings and a couple more swarms. Once the fight ends we have a good look around and inside the cage that was at the back of the room is a woman who Onisums tells us is the Vineyards Healer. We collect up the loot from the room and have to spend an hour divinating the cage to get it out but head our way back to the Cellar.

Heading Home
After doing some final clean up details at the Vineyard we were accompanied by many a person back to Tycho, this including Onismus' bride to be and Appiurs. Once back in Tycho we were invited to watch Onismus' Freeman ceremony and wedding. Once all this was done a party was thrown for us and we where payed in full. The next morning on we were collected by Minerva and brought back to the Guild to do the standard procedure of curse removal and in our case check for remaining side effects of the plague and a loot claiming procedure.
