Loot Auction

At the end of an adventure, an auction will be held to distribute the party's treasure. It will be administered by a Guild employee renowned for honesty, vindictiveness and enormous power.
To enter the bidding, party members must have cleared all debts on their Experience. If they have no unspent Experience, they will not be able to bid. A party member can bid any or all of their Experience, but no more than that. The winner of the auction reduces their Experience by the amount they bid. After all items are auctioned, the characters increase their Experience by their share of the amount of the bids that won.
Bidding generally starts at 1,000 Experience. If no one responds to this bid, the bidding will drop in amounts the Auctioneer deems appropriate. The Guild always bids 99 Experience, and so will win any bid that falls below this amount. In this case, the Guild will return the Guild Valuation of the item, but no Experience.
The Guild reserves the right to re-evaluate treasure that climbs to unexpectedly high values, and to remove bidders from an auction at their discretion.
