The Barony consists of one small town underground in a forest a few miles north of the Guild. The town itself is situated in the walls of a circular chasm several miles across and hundreds of feet deep.

Places

The town of Delisle consists of seven levels in a spiral formation cut into the southern side of the chasm. Access is by a large ramp 15ft wide that slowly spirals it's way down the hole dropping 250ft on each of eight revolutions. The rails, walls, door, and other external architecture are ornately carved with intricate patterns that are non-magical in origin.

At the base of the ramp is a mixture of woodland and pastures with sheep, cattle and goats. and a nearby cave leads to an underground beach and salt mine.

The land around the chasm is guarded by a number of Elementals, mostly Earth and Air, who in addition to patrolling the borders also protect against forest fires and other natural problems.

People

Details of all The People of Finns Waste are available.

Rulers of the Realm

The Baron
Baron Sébastien Delisle, is a strong man that belies his 300+ age. He is a mind mage of great talent and has been ruling this small enclave for that past 200+ years. Even now they have removed the secrecy he rarely leaves the town. It is rumored he was once a Duke but other than acknowledging he was part of the King Sigismunds retinue he has not spoken of his past.

Others of Note

Groups

A group led by Aurore, under the direction of the Baron, uses a ritualistic combination of Elemental magics to assist in governing the Weather in the duchy and beyond. They try to influence the weather at little as possible but they do work to keep major storms away from populated area's.
GM: Information
Unless there are really severe weather effects spanning multiple sessions and causing mass devastation to the Western Kingdom area the weather manipulations will be unlikely to have any effect on a game and would not be noticed by the players. Unless you need it to for the story in which case it can be.

Resources

A large number of highly skilled mages and a school for emerging talent.
