Enchanted Earth Bracelet

Weight: ¼ oz, Value: 500 sp, DB1 This enchanted bracelet covered in gems has been crafted from the cord of earth elementals and luck. It was crafted by the Wizards & Mages of Freetown.
The Bracelet can be enchanted by casting ‘lesser enchantment’ spells on it as follows:

  • It can store two ‘lesser enchantments’ plus one per 5 full points of Perception that the entity wearing the Bracelet has.
  • All of the ‘lesser enchantments’ are able to affect the entity wearing the Bracelet (at the time they were cast).
  • Each cast of ‘lesser enchantments’ on the Bracelet has to be from a different adept.
  • Each subsequent ‘lesser enchantments’ cast on the Bracelet is harder to perform. This adds a +20 to the cast chance dice roll per time. Ie. On the 5th cast of ‘lesser enchantments’ adds +80 to the casters dice roll (the first cast doesn’t count).
  • Each ‘lesser enchantments’ on the Bracelet has to be of a different rank.

Comments: Keep in mind that Rank 20+ ‘lesser enchantments’ are the only ranks in which the duration is permanent. It is expected that people will use Enhance Enchantment to get over rank 20 in which case the duration will become permanent.

Inferior Artzdorf Flensing Dagger

Weight: ½ lbs Value: 750 sp, DB2
This well crafted dagger is made by a rank 5 craftsman. In the hands of an adept it allows them to cut away a spell from a recently dead mage. In normal combat it acts as an enchanted Dagger as follows;

  • +5% to BC from craftsmanship taking it to 45% SC
  • +1 Damage from enchantment (Does not stack with weapon spells).
  • +2 MD to anyone wearing a Robe of Freetown.

If used by an adept on a recently dead mage (within the last 4 mins), then they are able to cut away (taking 4 consecutive actions) then they are able to perform the following;

  • Lower a General Knowledge spell of rank 6 or less by 1 rank.
  • The spell rank will return to the dead adept (if alive) after 2 months.
  • The adept using this item will gain a bonus of +1 spell rank on a chosen General Knowledge spell for a duration of 2 months.
  • Adepts who are members of the Entities branch: Greater Summoners, Necromantic Conjuration, Rune Mages, and Witchcraft, gain +2 spell ranks instead of 1 spell rank.

Note: A dead adept can only be affected once by a single ‘Flensing Dagger’ per month.

Weak Ash Wand

Weight: ½ lbs Value: 175 sp, DB3
This is a well crafted Wand made from Ash with a Unicorn Hair core. In the hands of an adept it allows them to expand their normal ‘Prepare Action’ into a range of actions.
The Wand must be used in a hand without other items. To use the expanded ‘Prepare Action’ the adept must succeed in rolling against the spells Cast Chance (CC).

  • If they fail a normal ‘Prepare Action’ occurs.
  • If it works they get to pick one from the following list. These expanded ‘Prepare Action’ will then effect the next Cast Chance action.

The ‘expanded Prepare Action’ are;

  • Cast at -25 on the CC (penalty) and +2 Ft cost but the duration is doubled.
  • Cast at -25 on the CC (penalty) and gain ½ damage (on a resist for none) GK spell.
  • Cast at normal CC and costs +3 Ft & +9 EN but all targets resist at -10%.
  • Cast at normal CC and costs +2 Ft & +6 EN but all targets resist at -5%.
  • Cast at normal CC and costs +2 Ft but gain 1 additional target.
  • Cast at +20 on the CC (bonus) on a GK spell but costs +2 Ft.
  • Cast at +30 on the CC (bonus) on a GK spell but costs +6 Ft.

An adept can only be attuned to one Wand at a time. It takes a week of time to become attuned to any new Wand. Other actions can be carried out in that week as per normal.

The boots give the wearer an additional hex of movement when engaging in any action involving a move action.

Amulet of Witchsight

This amulet grants Rk10 Witchsight (as per the celestial spell) to the wearer. If they can cast witchsight (or wizardsight, elf-o-vision, etc) or have it as a talent then their spell or talent is increased by two ranks.

Assassin Dagger

This dagger adds 10 to SC and 10 to IV when wielded. In the hands of an assassin it may be used to attack twice in the pulse at no penalty, A master assassin (Rank 8+) may attack three times a pulse.

Climbing Rope 225'

Weight: 5 lbs Value: 225 sp, D5
This 225 foot long rope is very strong and can hold 2.5 tons. It adds +30 to climbing checks.
A trained Thief;

  • At Ranks 1-4 may move along the rope using ½ their TMR.
  • At Rank 5+ may move along the rope using full their TMR.

A troubadour of rank 5+ with the use of a wind instrument will allow this rope to clime upwards with the music and tie itself at the top. The Rope moves upward at a TMR of (Troubadour rank –2 +½ Spy rank). It takes a pulse for the rope to tie itself off at the top of a wall.

Fine Mail Shirt

This fine mail shirt (Rank 8) works with most other types of armour. It can be worn with another set of armour. When it is worn with any other armour this ‘Fine Mail Shirt’ it will always take any given specific grievous damage first.
It adds the following: * It takes any specific grievous damage first. * +2 to Fatigue Protection to a maximum of 9 points, * +1 to Endurance Protection to a maximum of 6. * +5 to the rank of any defence spell cast on the wearer of this armour to a maximum of 22 spell ranks.
It can be repaired by a rank 8+ skilled armourer, costing 350 sp and taking ½ a day to repair two points of specific grievous damage.

The Bonus is equal to the order of magnitude in value of the herbs / incense (or level of rarity). IE 10 sp herbs is +1, 1000sp is +3, rare is +3. 1 lb of herbs lasts an hour. The bonus may also be consumed instantly for 1D FT recovered per MA. May be partially consumed. This item is commonly seen as Greater Summoner Gear.
