County of Tuscana

The County of Tuscana proper, the leading country in the Duchy of Tuscana, lies to the east of the Clear Water, and is centred around Hamburg. The County, politically, also includes the Barony of San Gabriello.

The land itself is intensively farmed, rather than cropped. While there are many copses of trees still, most of the major wooded area have been cleared. Those that remain are either owned by the Count, or one of the High Lords, and are, in general, off limits.

There are no large towns in the county, except for Hamburg and Luneburg. Originally this stemmed from the High Lords' demands that limited the size of towns, but now has more to do with the Count stopping towns taking over farmland.
