Bodhichitta

Cain is the son of Asmoday and Mardya Lindensouth. He is a shape-shifter, taking solid form only by some effort, and changing forms (and clothing) at whim. His most common forms include

  • A 6'6" human male, tanned, dust-covered, barefoot and dressed in a loin cloth.
  • A Dire Wolf, over four foot at the shoulder.
  • A tall, dark, and handsome vampire, complete with scarlet-lined cloak.
  • A black stallion.
  • A cloud of bats.
  • A swarm of rats.
  • A wisp of mist.

Powers and Talents

  • When he walks, his footprints leave blackened dead ground that will support no life for seven years. Every moment of existence is agony to him as his soul burns for his sins, yet he is immortal and trapped on Alusia.
  • He is an E&E, Mind and Necromancer with all magics at Rank 20. He can cast one spell a pulse as a talent in addition to other actions.
  • He can control any vampire he has created, or their descendants, at any range, through causing pain and fear.
  • He cannot be destroyed. Infliciting pain and suffering on him makes him stronger. It is said that pity makes him weep, and compassion causes him to flee.
  • Anyone he kills will be raised as a powerful vampire under his control the next dusk.
  • He has ranged Empathy (as per Healer) to 100 feet permanently.

Known Agents and Followers

These agents are all very powerful vampires, who have conquered most of the weaknesses of vampires, and have many additional dangerous talents.

  • Saru Khan
  • Sangarius, Zombie Lord
  • Karisi, the Lady of Dark Dreams
  • Aidin the Dancer
  • The Beast Menteshe

The following Guild Members have marked Cain.

  • Ithilmor is his nemesis, and he is always aware of her location and actions.
  • Vychan was his second mother during his rebirth as the Twisted Eighth God of Eastdale.

Priests and Churches

  • Cain is located in the northern Sea of Grass near Waterford.
  • He has no church or worshippers, but is slowly gaining converts to his Buddhist philosophy through prothelysing. He has several dozen human followers.
  • Cain also has many vampires, led by his five Agents. They live in his commune, constrained by his whim, and unable to feed off the blood of his human followers. Instead, they gain sustainence from Cain based on how closely he feels they follow Cain's Buddhist philosophy. Most of them are starving and completely insane from suffering and the conflict between their dark natures and their master. Some of them are even following Buddhism.

Activities and Known Interests

  • In his youth, he tried to wipe out the county of Aveice, whose nobility and church burnt his mother alive, and the Convent of Lost Souls, where she was burnt.
  • Since being reborn as the soul or Godhood of a Twisted God, Cain has learnt much about suffering. For the last few years (since 802WK) he has been studying an obscure philosophy called Buddhism, which incorporates self-denial and non-violence. He hopes to become a Bodhisattva and end his suffering.
  • He cannot be destroyed except if the body linked to his Godhood is also destroyed. His body was banished to the Outer Void for fratricide, and was followed by the rest of the pantheon.
