A century ago Sister Eliminate the Terrors quested to destroy the source of phantasms, nightmares etc. Upon her canonisation it was found that she had gone to the land of dreams. The church want her remains retrieved.

The priests give us each an amulet of Rafael (+5 def, +5 MR, 1DR vs evil) and a defensive Blessing (+10def, +10R, 2DR)

To get to the dreamlands we need to sleep using an alchemical potion so we visit the alchemist, John Pontimous, in a tower with wheels rolling out of town. We should dream ourselves potions to get back (made of Raspberry, vitriol, lark vomit and sunshine). Or someone can wake us. We are told to be nice to cats.

We go to sleep on a magical bed, all 6 of us sideways and wake in dream world. I dream myself up a magical robe of 4pt armour and +10 cast chance. Nikola get a pony instead of a Pegasus, Lucy gets a bandolier of potions and Dellith gets just a bandolier.

There is a monster under the bed! We chop it a bit and escape the room. The room goes dark (rk 20) and we can hear the monster eating the pony.

John says "if I meet my old dead granny here..." and lo, a celestial, endurance draining undead granny turns up and curses us when she dies. Lucy Zip and Dellith are cursed to wander these lands forever. She has sweets, mostly honey.

We seem to be in an inn. We dream up a friendly innkeeper.

He says that we are in the lands of the dead. He remembers sister Eliminate. She came here about 6 nights ago to get rid of nightmares and went into the lands of terror.

We ask about curse removal: drink from the waters of life and get reborn. Or follow a cat, it's not a very strong curse.

We get directions. We travel. There is a troll under the bridge. He remembers Sister Eliminate. She smote him. We pay the toll to the poor troll.

A DA shows that we are in the dreamlands not the lands of terror.

Eventually we get to a rough fort, with "bodies" everywhere. We ask who did this - "the solids inside". The Lord of nightmares is bailed up inside. We go inside. There are 3 people here - Sister Eliminate and 2 others who are trying to get through the next door. She thinks that she has been here a week. They ate and drank at the inn. The door is a "barrier of fear, illusion college". Dellith dispels it and a spring loaded tiger-cat leaps out. We befriend it. Sister Eliminate goes ahead and fights the Lord (GTN Nightmare, college illusion) We beat it up. We want to interrogate it, she wants to kill it. We do. She disappears.

We all get =1WP for the next year.

We find 3 long dead bodies. We get the saints bones, boots, sword and a cloak.

We follow the cat home.

Loot

4 sweets of spirit strengthening from granny saints bones, boots, swords and a cloak

Lucy gets the cloak, Zippy gets the boots, Dellith gets the sword and Lila and Nikola get 2 sweets each. None of our dreamed up stuff comes home with us.

Adventure 2: The Water Temple

Scribe Notes

Day One:

Jessica & Lila were summoned to the fire college by their fire monkeys and spoke with Catherine the Fire Elemental. They were give letters about starting a society to rescue fire monkeys (who are turned into imps). One of the letters was for the alchemist John Portimous who could help us.

We asked the alchemists at the guild who told us he was in the Griffin Hills collecting ingredients. So we flew

off to find him. Fortunately he was on the edge of the hills and so we were able to land safely before any griffins attacked us. We gave him the letter and he agreed to help us, if we helped him by collecting some griffin feathers and manticore spikes. We headed into the hills and found a likely looking spot for a griffin's nest.

We climbed up and were attacked by two griffins. After a short and brutal fight Dellith chopped the head off the female griffin with one blow and Jessica mental attacked the male griffin which we slept. We found a nest and a griffin's egg, and brought back the dead griffin to John's tower.

Day Two:

We headed into the hills and found a cave. We spent a couple of hours searching the cave and eventually stopped for lunch. As we got ready to leave we were attacked by 4 manticores. We drove off two and killed two.

We collected 29 manticore spikes. We take these back to John who tells us we need to get him an imp to experiment on.

Lothar informs us the best thing is to go back to Seagate and find a secret society that is summoning an imp, so we fly back to Seagate. First we find out about a party at the Horned Gods temple, but we carry on and eventually find a group of people who are planning to summon an imp.

Lila and Lothar join in the ritual but the rest of us sensibly stand back. The ritual looks a shambles but somehow they make it work. We all leap in and restrain the imp, put it to sleep and fly back in the dead of night to John's tower. We sleep there and fly back to Seagate in the morning.
